Michael Courtney Design was asked by the Seattle Housing Authority to develop a new signage and wayfinding system for the redeveloped neighborhood of Yesler Terrace. The redevelopment is a 30-acre plus community with a new hillclimb and pedestrian pathways linking to surroundings neighborhoods. Each sign navigates residents and visitors towards central locations, and are topped with custom weathervanes that depict images of the landmarks they are located next to.
